Repairs

Diamonds are the hardest material on earth. Sometimes that creates the misconception that a diamond blade is indestructible. That misunderstanding can lead to damage to your knife.  If the scalpel is mishandled or not cleaned properly it can easily be chipped or damaged. The photographs below are an example of a diamond scalpel that was not handled properly and the small chip that will effect it's performance.

Small chips or imperfection's in the blade can effect it's ability to cut smoothly . In most cases depending on the extent of the damage, Micro Edge is able to repair the blade and return it to your ophthalmic supplier within 24 hours.

This before and after photo was taken at 60x. Without magnification it would be impossible to see the small chip at the top of the blade.

Before and after at 300x. This small chip was repaired to perfect condition and shipped to the customer the same day. We understand turnaround time is essential and inventory is expensive. That is why every knife we receive is inspected the day of arrival, quoted and once approved the job is started immediately.

Our quality control department has years of experience and knowledge. They will inspect all edges, points and at 600x to insure your diamond blade is in flawless condition. Upon request, Micro Edge will take a low magnification photo of your knife. You can be assured that what you receive is a perfect diamond scalpel ready for optimal results.
